2018 Community Feature: Blue Bombers

The Winnipeg Football Club is once again proud to continue our history of being a supporter of the Pride Winnipeg Festival. Again, this year the club will have a presence at the Festival at the Forks with our Blue Bombers Kids Zone, and participate in the always-anticipated parade.

We are honoured to support the You Can Play Project with Bomber linebacker Thomas Miles serving as our club ambassador. The mission of the project is to ensure equality, respect, and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation.

Pride Winnipeg and what they stand for is an integral part of what the Winnipeg Football Club represents through our other community-based programs: We’re proud to raise public awareness through our school-based programs, including Bombers Tackle Bullying, and Break the Silence on Violence Against Women.

Last year, we proudly flew the Pride Flag at a Bomber home game, and the Rainbow Harmony Project sang our national anthem. In 2018, we’re hosting a Diversity is Strength game on August 10th when the Bombers play the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, kick-off at 7:30 p.m.

Happy Pride everyone!
